Can I book a sailing trip for just for the two of us?
Justice can take up to 12 guests total per charter, but our online booking software will not allow fewer than six guests to book a regular charter until the six-person minimum has been reached. This means that once a party of six has booked for a day, two or more (reaching up to 12 total) can add on to the group.
If you would like the boat to yourselves (for any size group from two to twelve people), you are welcome to book a private charter. Most boats will have you pay for all twelve spots for just two people. In light of the global pandemic, we are reasonable when working out a price for small private groups. Just give us a call and we'll help you decide on the sailing charter that's best for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Guests needing to cancel an existing charter need to provide 48 hours of notice or more in order to receive a full refund. In the event of bad weather on the day of your trip (captain's discretion), we will try to reschedule or offer a refund/no charge.
What kind of boat is Justice?
Justice is a gorgeous, exciting sailing vessel! She's a Voyage 430 catamaran, known for having a sleek design, safe handling, comfort, and true-sailing feel. Justice is 43-feet long and 25-feet wide with spacious decks, trampoline, bow seating, a shaded cockpit, freshwater stern rinse, and more. There are bathrooms on board and a fully stocked galley.
How do I get on and off the boat?
Sailing charters in St. Thomas requires a very short dinghy (small boat) ride to and from your sailboat. Guests need to be physically able to board the dinghy from the marina pier, which will take you to Justice. At the end of your trip, you will reverse the process, exiting the boat to the dinghy and then climbing back onto the pier. If you are agile and relatively fit, you should have no problems.
How do I reserve Justice?
Please use our online reservation service! Just click “Book Now.” If you feel more comfortable talking to someone before booking or wish to reserve a private charter, please call 443-831-1911 and we will be glad to help you with your arrangements.
What should I wear?
Casual, comfortable clothing is the norm on Justice. If you plan to go swimming or snorkeling, please wear or bring your bathing suit and a towel. The Caribbean sun can be quite strong, so we advise guests to use non-aerosol, reef-friendly sunscreen and/or a sun shirt or rash guard. It's quite windy on the water, so be careful with hats. Your smile is what will make the day's photos look awesome!
Will I get seasick?
If you are concerned, you should consult your doctor beforehand and see if he or she would recommend any remedies you can bring along.
Where do we snorkel?
We will be snorkeling the beautiful St. John National Park. This is a generally a secluded, private experience where you will see beautiful coral reefs, sparkling waters, and abundant sea life. It is not uncommon to see turtles where we go. Beginners might request to start their snorkeling from a beach, but we are usually close enough to jump right in from the boat's mooring spot.
Is it OK to bring my own food and drinks?
Certainly! There is room in our spacious cooler, and other non-cold items can be stowed until needed. Our catered charters offer everything you need, but feel free to bring along anything special you wish to eat or drink.
What is Mumfy’s Famous Pum Runch?
Real juice, local rum, and a few secret down-island ingredients make our unforgettable signature drink.
What is included in lunch?
Mumfy takes pride in designing menus that are fresh, scrumptious, and filling! A typical lunch might include gourmet caprese sandwiches followed by grilled shrimp Caesar salad and a homemade dessert. Please advise us of any dietary cautions we should know about when booking your sailing trip.
